Summary
This guide covers resuming (unpausing) a tenant whose delinquency cycle was paused. Monument shows you every action that built up during the pause and lets you choose which ones actually fire — preventing a burst of contradictory notices (like an overlock and an auction notice going out at the same time) when the cycle restarts. The unit must be in the Paused delinquency stage.

Resuming the cycle
On the paused unit — from the Delinquencies table or the unit's detail page — open the kebab (⋮) menu and click Unpause.
The Unpause Delinquency modal opens, listing every action that would have fired during the pause, grouped into:
Fees — e.g. apply late fees
Tasks — e.g. create a staff task
Communications — send email, send SMS, generate a letter template
Access Restrictions — block unit access
Check the actions you want to fire. Everything is unchecked by default, so only the actions you check will run when the cycle resumes.
Anything you leave unchecked is waived permanently — you can't apply it after unpausing. Review the list carefully before confirming.
Check the Status Summary panel at the bottom of the modal. It shows the tenant's state after unpausing: balance, days past due, delinquency stage, and paid-through date.
Click Unpause Delinquency to confirm. The tenant moves to the correct stage and only the checked actions fire.
Good to know
The clock keeps running during a pause. Pausing doesn't freeze time — days past due keep accruing. When you unpause, the tenant's stage is set by where their current days-past-due total falls in your delinquency rules, not by anything selected in the modal.
Auctions are handled separately. The furthest stage the cycle moves a tenant to automatically is Lien — the Auction stage is managed manually. A tenant already in the Auction stage can't be paused; cancel the scheduled auction first.
