Foreclosure (Delinquency Stage)

Written by Dane Williams

Foreclosure is a stage of delinquency that follows Lien, intended for facilities that recover unpaid accounts without formally scheduling an auction. It represents the final stage of the delinquency process for those facilities, where the facility acts on its lien to recover the tenant's outstanding balance. Unlike the Auction stage, Foreclosure is advanced through a delinquency automation rule — the facility sets the delinquency threshold at which a unit moves into Foreclosure, and can attach email, SMS, and letter actions to notify the tenant. Like the other delinquency stages, Foreclosure clears once the tenant's delinquent balance is paid in full.
