A Unit Group is Monument's primary inventory classification for a self-storage facility. It represents a unique combination of unit size and type, such as a 10Γ10 Climate Controlled or a 5Γ5 Drive Up. All individual units that share the same dimensions, type, and facility, belong to the same Unit Group, allowing Monument to aggregate occupancy, pricing, and reporting data at that level.
Within a Unit Group, units are further organized into tiers, which allow for differentiated pricing across units of the same size and type (e.g., a premium ground-floor unit vs. a standard upper-floor unit of identical dimensions).
Unit Groups serve as the reference point for pricing across the Rates page, unit selection in the lead workflow, and occupancy data in reporting. Ensuring all units are assigned to a Unit Group is essential for accurate pricing, automation behavior, and reporting across the platform.
